jQuery Concertina Slide #2 - Revisited

Information

I have been looking on the web for a simple vertical concertina menu with a slide action that pulls down the sub menu on clicking the top level item and couldn't find one that quite fitted the bill. So this is my attempt at producing the menu.

This again uses a simple javascript routine to read the mouse click and open or close the sub menus as appropriate.

At the moment this menu slides over the page content, but if you change the absolute positioning of the top level <ul id="slide"> to relative positioning then it will push the page content down when the menu expands.

Tested in IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari.

It has been over 2 years since this demo was produced and advancements have been made which enables this menu to be simplified and also provide a method of adding a 'current' tab open on page entry and a speed of slide control
